Celebrating national doodle day
Friday 8th February is National Doodle Day in the UK, to help support the work done by Epilepsy Action to improve the lives of the hundreds of thousands of people with epilepsy. If you want to find out more, take a look at their official site, but through the simple act of doodling, celebrities, companies, schools and individuals are raising money for the charity. So, without further ado, Terrys Fabrics would like to present to you our very own (sorry) attempts at doodling. We apologise in advance!
To start us off was this doodle submitted (in a hurry) by one of our website managers. A fine effort to get us going, although he did state that he would have preferred to have done something using his computer! We like it just as it is!
Our next picture was, rather sheepishly submitted by our Stock Manager. Whilst the team were scribbling away, she very quietly drew this little doodle on her notepad It took a bit of effort, but we managed to get her to submit this to the post.
This one, possibly the best of the bunch, has come from our very own Marketing manager. Whilst we were (childishly) scribbling away our drawings, this was being quietly perfected. Perhaps there is a hint of Valentines Day on this one too?
This is the first of our pictures to pay homage to Terry himself. A good likeness, sort of. Another one of our website managers is
to blame responsible for this wonderful creation, which he is suitably proud of. (Terry is the one at the bottom, we think)
The final picture put forward is also another portrait of Terry himself, complete with a catchphrase. We should state that Terry rarely, if ever, says "Smashing" so we're not sure where this has come from. So there you have it, our pitiful efforts at doodling. Hopefully there will be some better pictures by the end of the day and we hope this has inspired you to grab a pen and paper and get drawing! Remember, it is all for a great cause, helping people with Epilepsy. And just for those that don't know, this is a picture of Terry, to compare with those pictures above.
