I often walk in the fields near my home and the hedgerows that border the footpaths are a constant inspiration; helping me to create many of these new designs. I have also designed this contemporary collection of curtains and blinds from the passion I have for decorating our homes. They are intended to live happily in a modern space just as well in a more traditional home. I hope you'll all love them as much as I do, maybe those of us who have previously shied away from using pattern in any decorating decisions might now be persuaded to finally take the plunge. Personally I adore the decorative "pattern on pattern" look that be achieved with these new designs.
I remember reading the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam as a teenager, drawn to it for its patterns and colours that resonates with my new "Treasure Garden" Collection. Let the curtain colours of this collection inspire accessories like throws or cushions; as repeating colours give the room a more polished feel. Background colour has emerged as a trend in interior design, introducing vibrant, fresh tones that set the mood and elevate the overall aesthetic of the space. Florals and trees are ideal for living rooms and bedrooms, creating a serene atmosphere without being too overpowering. The patterns on the back of my new chairs are ideally positioned to complement the space when tucked under a dressing or dining table. I really do love the patterned fabrics on these new chairs. A side table nearby is perfect for a cuppa or book.
Terrys are thrilled to present the Linda Barker Home. You can now browse the designs Dottie's Love, Octavia's Tangle and Ursula’s vine from her Field and Flower collection, which are available in a number of fabric colours. This selection of designs includes fabrics, curtains, roller blinds and roman blinds. Dottie's Love is inspired by country fields and all season hedgerows of spring blackthorns, summer roses and autumnal crab apples. Secondly Octavia's Tangle takes inspiration from a hand drawn illustration of floral catkins and chillies, with beautiful tumbling shapes. Then we have Ursula's Vine, which is the perfect companion to both of the preceding designs. This elegantly simple leaf pattern is minimalist yet striking, whether combined with the other two fabrics or used in isolation to create a gentle undulating appeal.
