Every exquisite design in this extensive archive has been hand-drawn by LLB himself, one of the 21st Century’s most recognized "Patternistas". This Fine Art Approach sets his glorious patterns apart, with every line telling a story in these fabulously authored fabrics. The entire collection has been recoloured and rescaled to coordinate perfectly with today’s interiors, while retaining a timeless vibrance that continues to make the LLB style so influential.

The collection explores aesthetic themes that conjure up some of the great tastemakers in British design history, from William Morris to Augustus Pugin, Aubrey Beardsley to Biba. Each design in this collection, available as made to measure curtains, made to measure roman blinds, and by the metre fabric for cushions and other accessories, is a personal journey through Llewelyn-Bowen's own passions and influences.

The Designs: A Journey Through Art and History in Laurence's own words:

The Gwendoline design is my celebration of the voluptuous curvilinear aesthetic of high Victorian gothic style. Inspired by the nineteenth century obsession with the Age of Chivalry Gwendoline is, for me, the perfect pattern with which to decorate a Princess’ turret

Next, we travel to Andalusia with Festivo, my celebratory evocation of Iberian tile patterns inspired by my love for Andalusian interiors. Bold and Baroque the Festivo pattern feels like it’s got Spanish sunshine baked into its uplifting repeat

Down the Dilly draws on the stylish and stylised love for nature that Oscar Wilde and the tastemakers of the Aesthetic Movement of the 1880s celebrated in their elegant home furnishings.

Hedgerovia is my hymn to the lush sensual flora of the British countryside when it’s in the fullness of its high summer Livery. I was very keen to capture the opulent undulation of hedgerow vegetation at its most vigorous

Naughty Aubrey is my homage to the decadent 1890s illustrator Aubrey Beardsley, who was one of my first Aesthetic hero’s. His faultlessly sinuous whiplash lines are credited with kicking off the Art Nouveau movement. Naughty Aubrey is my homage to his consummate, and oh so often, naughty pen work.

Morris Major is a celebration of the inescapable influence Victorian Taste Arbiter and Designer William Morris continues to exert on Contemporary home design. I’ve always loved his fabulously muscular repeats and the exquisite aesthetic craftsmanship he lavished on his patterns.

Menagerie Artois mashes up my love of heraldry, medieval Manuscript illustrations and the curvaceous lines of early Renaissance textiles. I love to use patterns around the home that, through wit and draughtsmanship, offer up new details every time you look at them.

Next Sunny Side Up. During the Renaissance the majestic sunflower bloom symbolised enlightenment and loyalty. In Sunny side up I set out to create a repeat that also indulged my interest in the voluptuous lines of the sunflower’s vegetation as well as the show stopping glory of the flower head.

Finally, Vacannes is all the best bits of all the holidays I remember with huge fondness expressed through the highly detailed cross hatched aesthetic of traditional Toile Du Jouy designs.
