What type of blinds are best for bedrooms?

The best type of blinds for your bedroom can come down to entirely personal preference however some things you want to consider when buying blinds for a bedroom are – privacy, light control and design.

Obviously, you want to choose a design and colour palette that matches your bedroom theme but also it is important to consider light control as you don’t want to have your sleep disturbed by early summer morning sun nor do you want neighbours to be able to see in so privacy really is key.

Any type of blinds works well but we would suggest blackout blinds – in either roller blinds or roman blinds.

How do I choose the right blinds?

There are a few things you will want to consider when choosing blinds for your home. First of all you need to consider the actually window itself – you’ll need to get all the measurements and decide what kind of window dressing you are looking for. You will also want to consider the room in the house – as above, do you need good light control? How much privacy do you need?

As well as practical implications, you will need to look at the room as whole – which styles, patterns colours and designs will compliment the room? Once you have an idea of this you can begin to narrow down your search – filtering out colours and patterns you don’t want.
