Escape to the Chateau became an iconic television series, captivating audiences as Angel and her family transformed a historic French chateau into a home, a business and a place where creativity could flourish. Throughout the journey, Angel’s passion for interiors, design and craft became a defining part of the story – inspiring people to embrace creativity and make their homes their own. Now, exclusively at Terrys, Angel Strawbridge brings that distinctive style to a new collection of fabrics inspired by the Chateau and its surroundings.

The collection combines French heritage with a timeless, contemporary palette, creating fabrics that are distinctive yet effortlessly at home in both classic and modern interiors. Many of the designs have a direct connection to the Chateau’s history. La Corde du Chateau takes inspiration from an original wallpaper discovered in the attic, reinterpreted for today. Lace Flower draws on the intricate beauty of 18th-century French lace, reminiscent of the opulent interiors of the Chateau.

But inspiration is not found solely in the past. The Chateau’s gardens and everyday life have also provided Angel with a wealth of ideas. Wisteria of the Orangerie captures the beautiful wisteria that welcomes visitors to the Orangerie, while Ivy Trellis reflects the ivy that winds its way through the Chateau grounds. And, of course, there is the Chateau’s feathered visitor – the peacock – celebrated in L’Oiseau du Chateau.

Completing the collection is a distinctive woven jacquard, inspired by the ornate finial from the bed featured in the Chateau’s wallpaper museum. Its rich texture and decorative detail bring another layer of depth to the collection, while helping to connect the individual designs into one cohesive story. A collection steeped in history, inspired by the Chateau and brought to life through Angel Strawbridge’s unmistakable eye for design.
