We recommend that you order a free sample of the blind you are interested in before you place an order to make sure that you are completely happy with the fabric/material colour, feel and finish. We ship all of our samples free of charge for your convenience.
Control Side
The Aluminium blinds come with the option of controls of a tilt on the left and the lift cord on the right or tilt on the right and lift on the left.
When ordering an aluminium Venetian blind to fit inside the recess and you select "recess size" we will deduct 10-12mm from the size you give to allow the blind to fit neatly inside the window recess and move freely.
If you are ordering an aluminium Venetian blind as "exact blind size" no deductions will be made to your measurements.
All aluminium Venetian blinds are produced within an operating tolerance of +/- 3mm on the width and +/- 5mm on the drop.
Child safety

Wipe Clean
Aluminium venetian blinds offer a modern and practical window treatment. These blinds can offer a good level of privacy as well as sun protection.
When using venetian blinds, you should look at the window and see what obstacles you have in your window. If you have handles that stick out you should bear in mind that you will have to move the blinds out from the window to ensure that the blind does not catch against the handles. Make sure you will be happy with the position of the blind if you do so.
For windows that receive a lot of sun, one solution is the perforated version of these blinds, that when closed offer a good level of privacy, but still allow light to diffuse into the room. If you are looking to block out sun, then use the solid slats. Tilting the blinds upwards is a good way of diverting sun away from the room, but still allowing some light into the room.
Metal Venetians are compact and fit discreetly, with a shallow profile when raised. Meaning when you raise the blinds, there is little if any obstruction in the window. Slat sizes range from 15mm to 50mm or more, allowing you to go for a range of styles.
Venetian blinds should be cleaned at regular intervals to keep dust build up to a minimum. In kitchens or bathrooms any wet splashes should be removed immediately to avoid staining.
Slats should be vacuumed regularly with an upholstery brush and periodically given a thorough clean with a special cleaning tool which usually comprises fingers of foam sponge or microfiber velour which fit between the slats.
