1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Creatively I tend towards simple designs that are soothing and inspiring. In our home this translates to a beachy farmhouse mix with lots of natural elements.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

As a photographer I usually start with a season then think about what it means to me and how it makes me feel and go from there.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Though I haven’t actually worked with him, or even met him, I really admire Edward Burtynsky. We’ve shown work in the same show in the Lieutenant Governor’s office in Toronto and I’m constantly inspired by the way he uses his stunning photography to shine a spotlight on some of his biggest environmental concerns.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Pinterest! When I see images that I connect with I’ll pin them, then when I’m stuck I have a collection of visual inspiration to get me started again.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Practice, practice, practice - it will help you to really grow as an artist. Try new things and learn from them, put yourself out there instead of getting caught on the sidelines.
