1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
I would regard my style as a fresh, modern-day perspective to timeless, classic design, resulting in harmonious interiors that exude style, comfort, beauty and function.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
I will meet with a client for a private consultation to help visualize and prioritize their decorating needs. Once the project scope and style is determined, master planning and the design process begins.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
Although I've never personally had the honor of working with Candice Olson from HGTV, I respect her vision, designs and workmanship. Her knowledge of the industry, out-of-the-box creativity and beautiful design flair are what makes her a superstar in the design industry.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
Inspiration is easy to find when you take a moment and just look around. Whether it be a particular color or object from Mother Nature, a piece of eye-catching artwork or a client's very own furnishings. Just about anything can be used as an inspirational starting point.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
A design degree and 15 years of experience as founder of All About Interiors has provided AAI deep roots in the interior design field within Connecticut. All About Interiors has developed a solid reputation with clients, contractors and vendors alike, who continue to spread the word about our design work. My advice; Spend the time to get to know the client, and they you. Getting the client to trust the designer and their design vision is one of the most important aspects of being an interior designer.
