1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
My design style is classic eclectic. As a designer I enjoy mixing different styles together to create a comfortable, beautiful, and unique design space that tells a story.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
Every project is unique and requires a different creative process. After reviewing a project’s requirements, usually I will draft a few different ideas that I think will work with the function and the design layout of the space. I find this process helps me to be creative and allows me to choose the best layout idea, which fits the space I’m designing.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
First this has to be my amazing team. They balance me in the best way possible. They are just so inspiring and I love working with them. Second my clients because my inspiration for a project always comes from their needs.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I like to spend time outdoors when looking for inspiration; the combination of colors and textures found in nature greatly inspires me.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
Designing spaces has always been a career I wanted to pursue since I was a young child. I enjoy being a designer because it allows me to be creative. I find it rewarding when I am able to help my clients create a beautiful design space, which improves their lifestyles. My advice is to pursue your passion, get as much experience, as you can as early as you can, be open and ready to learn new ideas, and finally learn from your mistakes and don’t let anything stand in your way.
