1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
I tend to like clean, classic designs but love color to visually stimulate the experience. Nothing cluttered or overdone!
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
Someone will originate a project by contacting us and we listen carefully. You don’t have to ask too many questions to draw out what people want for their wall décor, they will tell you. Clients will often know what they want but not know if it is possible or how. We then discuss options such as scanning original art, finding stock images that are fitting or creating a pattern from a motif. We decide a plan of action along with our customers.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
If I had to pick just one, I would say Jarlath Mellett. I first met Jarlath several years back in NYC and we really clicked! He has a very chic style and his work lends itself to many different interior spaces. We work together often and he is so warm and genuine!
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
We get inspiration from our customers’ ideas every day! We never know what type of custom wallpaper, border or mural project we’ll be working on next. It is inspiring to wrap your head around a creative problem and solution from the viewpoint of someone with a vision for wall décor that has not been done before.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
We offer the most quality products on the market ensuring that we can work with the top installers and designers. We also do not cookie-cutter our services into a web form and upload that automates printing and delivery. We look over each customer’s individual project and art needs to come up with a custom solution for them. So our advice is to create a company that puts helping people above “filling orders.”
