1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I create layered interiors that appear to have evolved gradually over generations.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

On starting a new project I spend a good amount of time getting to know the client. Insights into the client's background and personality guide me towards their unique scheme. Schemes must be intellectual as well as aesthetically pleasing.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Architect Lucy Sacker. She constantly opens my eyes to new aesthetics and her approach to creating living spaces is beautifully natural and refreshing.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I take a lot of inspiration from old objects, furniture, and art. The colours and textures of aged wood, metal and textiles are generally very aesthetically pleasing. I also take inspiration from the view from the windows of the room which is a permanent picture that must be incorporated into the scheme

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Creating an interior is not something you can do alone. I have been very fortunate to have met many incredibly talented artists, tradesmen and fellow designers along the way. Always show your support and enthusiasm and learn from everyone you meet and everything you see.
