1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Whether decorating my home or creating new designs, I enjoy combining elements that are textural, playful, colorful and, when possible, have a touch of the unexpected.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Researching whatever subject matter I’ll be working on comes first. I then sketch out my ideas until I feel I know how I want to proceed with the final artwork.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with numerous amazingly creative people. Many of them are fellow small business owners who, through volunteer work, help promote the arts in the community where they live. These people are whom I respect the most, because not only are they pursuing their own dreams, they are helping others achieve their own.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

A trip or just going for a walk, with camera in hand, works best for me. Inspiration is all around us. We just have to take the time to notice!

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I listened to my heart and made a realistic plan on how to accomplish my goals. My advice is to be brave and be patient. Even though it may involve a lot of difficult decisions, there’s no greater reward than the freedom to do what you love, everyday.
