1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
I love order and logic, clear surfaces and tidy rooms. I find when my space is organised and ordered, then so is my mind. Space around me gives me room to think, reflect and plan and this helps me get on with living my life.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
It begins with a visit to the client so they can show me round their place and I can get an insight into what it's like living with their stuff. We'll chat about how and where to get started so we can sort through their things together, at their pace.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
My clients are amazing. They all have different situations, requirements, expectations and characters! Many of them have to change the habits of a lifetime in order to begin living a life free from clutter. This takes time, determination and hard work.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I use Pinterest a lot for inspiration on storage ideas and room layouts. I also encourage my clients to focus on how their space feels after a decluttering session so they can recall this feeling throughout the decluttering process. I find before and after photographs really help encourage and motivate clients and myself.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
I love organising, tidying, sorting and bringing order out of chaos! I also love getting alongside people at a point in their lives when others often don't know how to help. I love gently guiding people and encouraging them to learn new skills so they can get on with living their lives instead of their space and minds being consumed by their stuff. I couldn't believe this existed as a job until I researched it online and decided to just give it a go!
