1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Eclectic with plenty of interest; hints of colour, variety of textures, sumptuous and timeless. Sourcing unique items to add a sense of individuality and incorporate my upcycling talents when appropriate.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

The design brief plays an important part, ours is very comprehensive and captures; personality, lifestyle and preferred style. Inspiration then evolves and each piece of the design comes together.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I have great respect for the students and tutors at the National Design Academy where I studied. The students possess a huge wealth of creative talent, which is encouraged and developed by the tutors. The tutors have an abundance of creative knowledge, experience and insist on high standards, which produce top quality students.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

It sometimes comes from a client’s possession. I also re-visit my range of designs, fabrics and wallcoverings I’ve compiled and admire. However inspirational thoughts just pop into my head.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I’ve always been very creative and decided a while ago to take the plunge and unleash my creative talents, to their full potential. Thankfully success has blossomed. Prepare for a lot of hard work! You’ll also need to be very dedicated, skilled and passionate about your work to gain success.
