1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

My designs always include things that are unexpected, fun, and sophisticated. They are modern, yet people always find a sense of calm in each of my spaces.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Understanding the possibilities in everything that I touch is where I begin. If it is a home, how can I transform the architecture to make it better? If there is only thin air, can I still build a pool? If it is a book, how can I create something beautiful that people will actually read and learn from? I have found pills, art, etc. that I love so much I build a home around them!

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I have a deep respect for the construction team that I worked with in Las Vegas, Merlin Construction. They always found a way to get to yes and create anything that I imagined. I love and admire people who think like that!

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I like to learn about the people that I am designing for and to know the history of the space. It helps me to honor the legacy of the space and support a future that has yet to be discovered!

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Having the courage to fail is what has brought me to this point in my career. I am always willing to show up to any meeting, try new products and build the impossible. My advice for anyone starting out would be to know and truly understand that all things are possible. From there, you can create anything and design a beautiful life!
