1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

As a professional organizer, my task is to create a space based on my client’s needs.  I incorporate my minimalist aesthetic with functionality.  Clean lines, pops of color, a place for everything.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I start by breaking down the project into manageable steps, creating an outline and mapping out each step.  I think about which storage solutions and accessories will work/look the best.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Over the years I’ve met many professional organizers who have inspired me. Finding those with a similar philosophy keeps me excited about my work.  Working alongside other organizers allows me to get another view of the process - I always learn something new. I also enjoy training new organizers, seeing their willingness to learn and ask questions keeps me on my toes.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I feel inspired when I imagine the space as a finished product.  Mapping out the process  and sharing my vision with the client energizes me to get to work.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

What I value most in where I am right now is the experience I’ve had over the last 10 years.  With experience comes confidence and an ease to sharing my process and knowledge with my clients.  I would advise future organizers to trust in their abilities and get as much ‘practice’ as possible.
