With this blind you can choose the colour of the chain you would like. The metallic options give the blind an expensive look, however other options may be available.
You can decide whether you would like to have the control mechanism on the left or the right side of the blind. If it is easier for you to reach one side of the blind rather than the other, then this makes adjusting the blind more convenient.
This option determines the way in which the fabric rolls. Standard roll means that the fabric sits behind the roller tube. Alternatively, reverse roll sits in front of the roller tube. This option is better when your window has handles that might prevent the roller blind from closing.
Face fixing brackets are secured behind the blind headrail. Top fix brackets on the other hand are secured above the blind headrail.
The Standard headrail allows cords to run down the back of the blind all coming across to one side and threaded through a cord lock system. The Deluxe sidewinder has cords running behind the blind like the standard, however they wind up into cartridges inside the track. Plus the deluxe has a higher ratio gear so it is easier to open and close the blind, especially important for wider blinds.
You can choose whether the blind will lift open from the left or right side. Your choice will depend on whether you want easy of access to the blind cord, or if you want to make it less accessible to a child.
Different lining options are available for different circumstances. In particular you could go for a thicker blackout material to darken a childs bedroom, or to keep in heat. Alternatively lighter and thinner linings are available, which will keep a room lighter and cooler.
As this is a made to measure product, it is made to your exact measurements. This means that you are responsible for ensuring the blind is of the right size for your window. However, for an additional charge we will provide measurement insurance against incorrect measurements. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.
Here you can choose whether the blind slats will open to the left, to the right or will have a centre split. Usually you would choose an option to match your window or door frame. For instance if you install this blind in front of a sliding door you would ensure it opens the same way as the door.
With a made to measure wood venetian blind - the slats will be trimmed to your custom measurements. This will expose the base wood colour both sides of the blind. When your blind is fitted within a window recess, the outer edges of the slats are not visible and therefore this does not affect the finished look. However, if your blind is to be fitted outside of the window recess - you may wish to pick the ‘Stain Wood Ends’ option for a small additional cost. This will ensure that the exposed ends of the slats are stained the same colour as the rest of the slats.
With tape colour there are a number of colour options to choose from. You could match your tape colour to the slat colour so they compliment each other, or alternatively go for a nice contrast.
You can choose the side of the head-rail that your blinds tilt and raise controls are situated. These are fully configurable, with the option to have tilt and raise on the same or opposite sides.
You can choose whether the blind tilting wand will be positioned on the left or right side. Your choice will depend on whether you want easy of access to the tilt wand, or if you want to make it less accessible to a child.

When this product is positioned in front of a window it will blackout all sunlight. This makes it ideal for any room that is exposed to a lot of direct sunlight or ambient light (such as streetlights).
Please Note: A fully blackout effect can only be achieved when fitted outside of a window recess (as to fully obscure the window). When fitted within a recess, light may seep through any gaps that have not been fully covered.
Primary blackout roller blind granite comes with its own specific fitting instructions. These can be downloaded or printed off by pressing the button below:
The Primary blackout roller blind is beautifully simple. Choose from a range of colours of this sleek, plain material to suit any room. These stylish blinds are also suitable for rooms with a lot of moisture such as bathrooms and kitchens, thanks to their PVC material.

Check for obstacles which may obstruct the operation of the blind. These are usually things like window handles.
Roller blinds can have the operating chain on either side, so you can choose which side works best for your window.
For rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and other damp prone environments, a wipe clean material is a good choice as it will be easier to keep clean.
Please note that only the fabric of a blackout roller blind will be blackout and some light may still filter around the sides of the blind.
To create a fully blackout window treatment you could fit a roller blind behind blackout curtains, and close them both.
Roller blinds are very practical to clean and maintain. Any wet splashes should be removed immediately to avoid staining - most fabrics are sponge or wipe clean.
We will make your blind to the measurements that you specify, within a tolerance of:
- 5mm width tolerance
- 5mm length tolerance
If this tolerance could potentially be an issue then we recommend you speak to our customer service team before placing your order.
For blinds requiring a drop 119cm or less, the operating chain is manufactured to be approximately 10cm shorter than the requested blind drop. For blinds requiring a drop 120cm or longer, the operating chain is manufactured to be approximately 100cm in length.
