There are times when it is a good idea to line your curtains, certain fabrics are more susceptible to damage from sunlight than others. Delicate fabrics such as silk or natural cottons can be easily damaged in this way. Good quality curtain linings will help to protect your curtain material and give it a longer life. A lining will also help to keep the colours fresh and the fibres intact for much longer. A good quality cotton or poly-cotton is generally used for curtain linings. These soft and pliable fabrics will not affect the drape of your curtains, in fact a lining can enhance the way your curtains hang. Blackout curtain linings are also available if you need to eliminate unwanted light in bedrooms or living rooms.
