Roller blinds have long been associated with kitchens and bathrooms as they are extremely versatile and easy to replace when needed.
Kitchen roller blinds need to be carefully thought through as dependant upon where they are to be placed, different finishes maybe needed on the fabric. Ideally they should be easy to clean, wipe down would be ideal, as any greasy build ups can be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Fire retardant fabric may also be a clever choice with the fabric.
Kitchen roller blinds should, traditionally, be in keeping with the existing colour schemes found in your kitchen, although maybe a light and airy feel can be created by using lighter, more delicate colours? Or if you are wanting more privacy, then why not look at some of the darker colourings, or add a pattern? This will help to create a lovely focal point within your room that looks good and is easily maintained.
With many of today’s more modern kitchens having blacks, reds, whites and high gloss finishes, why not team them with contrasting blinds? A white gloss kitchen would look very contemporary with a red or fuchsia blind, or why not team your black kitchen with yellows, lime greens or aqua for a great bright splash in your kitchen?
Or maybe you have a country style kitchen with a wooden finish? If so why not keep with the country theme and go for a floral theme with your blinds? They will be able to add a nice floral touch in the winter months when outdoors looks bleak, and in the summer they will look great drawn with the sunlight picking out the detailing as it shines through.
