Shake-up Your Colour Scheme 2: Bright & Cheerful
This time of the year is probably the most popular time when people think about decorating or redecorating rooms in their home. Summer is just around the corner and whether you want to decorate a room in your home as it has become outdated, or maybe you are considering putting your house on the market in the near future, there are some decorating concepts to keep in mind.
One of the most popular colour used by professional interior designers is beige, closely followed by magnolia and off-white. These colours and the various shades of them are considered very safe and neutral. They also have the unique ability to be almost 100% compatible with different design themes of any room, be it traditional, contemporary or natural.
If you take a little bit of time to do some research into these colons, you will begin to understand that whilst beige and magnolia are colours that are very warm and inviting, they also might have undertones of different colours in them, such as green and red, whilst it might seem strange, you can also find an undertone of yellow within beige.
If you want to create a room that is elegant in design but that same time incorporating a delicate feel about it, beige is one of the best colours to work with. It may well be you want your room to have a cheerful and feminine feel, to achieve this you have to make sure that the beige has an undertone with a hint of pink. If it has these undertones you will be able to match it with a rose, or for that matter purple, this will ensure that your room will have that feminine appearance to it.
To continue the theme and mood of the room which you want to keep on the feminine side, having beige with an undertone of red, will allow you to fit red curtains in your windows. By doing this you will be able to achieve a balance and at the same time symmetry, as the red ready made curtains will compliment the beige you have used. If on the other hand you wanted to create a room that has a masculine feel about it, and at the same time being sophisticated, you might want to look at using beige that has undertones of green and also consider beige with an undertone of orange.
Simply by adding cheap Roman blinds or an orange or green rug you'll use these bright colours and keep the room you are decorating with a theme of clean lines and simplicity, you'll end up with a room that has a feeling of being bright and cheerful with a touch of masculinity.
