Join the Navy
This delightful harbor room set beautifully showcases one of the latest collections to be added to our nautical fabrics range.
The Heritage colour way in the Fryett's Boardwalk Fabrics Collection is new to Terry’s this summer and we’re loving the navy, deep red and sandy beige colour combo that is giving this lifestyle shot a relaxed and cheerful feel. The room is neutral and airy and is given a truly nautical feel by the simple floor length curtains in the Clipper sailboat design.
Stripes are always a winner with a nautical theme and the navy and red stripe of the New Haven design looks smart and crisp as neatly tailored Roman blinds and boxed cushions.
Red and blue accents to punctuate the scheme are added with plain scatter cushions and the final addition of the canvas on the easel and matching cushion in the Boardwalk design, which features a driftwood style background with weather beaten lettering, adds a touch of vintage nostalgia and fun. Subtle touches in the accessories such as the round porthole style mirror, the textured round pouffe, resembling a lobster pot and the old frayed rope, add unmistakable maritime character and charm.

This is a really versatile and authentic collection which offers the discerning, seaonal, decorator endless possibilities when it comes to creating a nautical feel. You can go all out with the sail boats theme or simply add the odd scatter cushion, Roman blind or canvas; all of which can easily be changed again as the season turns.
You don’t have to buy from a collection though, or start replacing all your curtains and blinds, particularly if you’re working within a budget. Sometimes picking up a few carefully selected ‘off-the-peg’ accessories is all you need to add a subtle nod towards the theme or style you are trying to create. Seasonal decorating in this way is both effective and affordable.
