The 60 Minute makeover wasted no time in getting rid of the abundance of yellow which filled this bedroom and although yellow is a 'happy' colour when used to excess it can become far to overpowering. Neutral colours were used to bring a hotel chic look to this outdated bedroom. With clever use of bedside table lamps and adding a fitted wall unit to house the television and provide plenty of storage space the room instantly looked chic and stylish. The window was dressed with a combination of Roman blinds and stylish blackout fabric eyelet curtains, hung from a chrome curtain pole, both coordinating effortlessly with the neutral bedding and cushions. The team removed an old chair and replaced it with a stunning chaise lounge, providing a place to relax in true style and luxury. The team also transformed the living room, which too had become outdated and lost its identity with too many knick-knacks covering all available surfaces. The new trend of having stylish white voile fabric in place of traditional net curtains provided privacy, while Sorento Cardinal curtain fabric was used to make beautiful curtains, which were again hung from a polished chrome pole, to coordinate with the rest of the room, bringing a sense of harmony and balance to the end result. The red accent colour was chosen from the patterned wall paper, providing subtle injections of colour with going 'over the top'. These simple, yet stylish changes have given both rooms the boost they needed to bring them bang up-to-date without having to spend a fortune!
