1) What pieces of furniture have impressed you recently? And Why?

Multi functional pieces are a great choice for todays modern life. The Granville coffee table by Bo Concept is a great space saver for small apartment dwelling. The coffee table comes complete with interior storage and can be raised to transform into a dining or laptop table. Chrome and glass furniture pieces are great elements to use when trying to capitalise on light in a space. Bespoke furniture and upholstery incorporating the design elements used in the space gives a room an individual personalised look.

2) What colours are on trend right now? And Why?

Grey used with pops of vibrant colours such as yellow, lime or cranberry work very well together, although there is a shift in 2015 towards the warmer metallic colours. Earthy hues combined with pops of blue and indigo are trending for 2015. I am very drawn towards this years Pantone colour Marsala and I’m currently at design stage of using it in a scheme.

3) What types of materials are on trend right now? And Why?

I like mixing different textures together in a scheme. Wood, chrome, glass and a selection of different fabric textures all combine to bring a scheme together.

4) Which of your projects embodies the latest design trend? And why?

I recently completed a renovation on a small dark apartment where the introduction of light was imperative. By combining chrome and glass elements, we reflected light around the apartment while pops of colour introduce fun and vitality into the space.
