60 minute makeover 5: creating bright modern rooms

This time the 60 Minute Makeover team embarked on a mum and daughter project and transformed three rooms into bright modern spaces.

Bedroom 1: The team used inspiration from the bold feature wall and while the bedroom was in good condition it lacked the oomph that was needed to taking from ordinary to 'wow'! With bright new floral wallpaper as the feature wall and some clever rearrangement of furniture the team ticked all the right boxes by maximising natural light in abundance to give a fresh new look to the room. The window dressing was of a Plaza roller blind cream, a simple yet very stylish way to dress the window and further enhance the amount of natural light entering the room.

Bedroom 2: From an outdated bubble gum pink little girl's room to a sophisticated space for a teen, the team kept the pink colour scheme and up-dated to a luscious lipstick, raspberry pink coordinated with white. Before the makeover the room looked small and cramped but with new modern colour combinations and a fabulous Duoro grey roller blind and new bedding the room has moved to the next level of stylish design.

Living Room: The living room lacked any personality and definition prior to the team's arrival. Now it has become the hub of the home with new corner unit and sofa. Bold wallpaper made a feature of the fireplace wall, while the existing blinds were teamed with full length Harvard duckegg curtain and cushions in the same colour and fabric brought the room together with modern colour combinations. Modern eyelet Crash satin silver curtain poles were used to add a modern touch which worked with the new modern rocking chair. The team once again used new colour combinations and stunning window dressings to add a new lease of life to each room.
