1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I am a huge fan of combining contemporary and traditional styles to create unique and personal spaces. I have quite a minimalist style and like to focus on the quality of design and beauty of material which I think works best in a simple space.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I usually work backwards! I have the overall finished image of a space in my head which I then deconstruct, usually with lots of furniture research to then create the visuals and start the design process.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Tom Dixon is probably my biggest inspiration. I have had the pleasure of meeting him several times and he remains level-headed, humorous and calm which are important traits to have within design. Other designers that I have to mention are André Fu, Lee Broom, Kit Kemp and David Linley.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I get inspired from London and city life mainly. The city has so many incredible designers, architects, shops and styles that it is as if you have the whole world on your doorstep.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Interior design has always been my passion and the area that I have wanted to work in. It is a highly competitive place and many brands expect you to already have the experience. Due to this, I decided to set up my own company / website and blog which has opened up so many opportunities, including writing which I never thought I would enjoy as much as I do. My advice is that you are never owed anything, you should always push for what you want to do and even when things get difficult, never give up!
