1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

My creative style focuses on creating a home that is casual, liveable, and pulled-together. My aesthetic infuses mid-century modern furniture, American western vibe, and global pieces.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

The first thing I do is look at the age and dimensions of the space so that the look I pull together is congruous with the spirit of the room.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

When I work with my friends, I see that as the biggest compliment and privilege. Working to help them overcome a day to day struggle like storage optimization in a small space (so much stuff!) is something one doesn’t often reveal to a close friend. Something like being picked to help plan out a nursery is very much an honour.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

To stay ahead of trends, I follow a variety of LA based bloggers and photographers. I get so much inspiration from newly opening restaurants and hotels, where more design risks are taken.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

The thing that has brought me here, blogging for over seven years, is just never stopping. Whatever is going on, I’m blogging it. If I’m traveling, then I’m writing about that, inspiring others to expand their horizons. If I’m working on interiors, I’m sharing what I’m learning to encourage others to try new things at home.
