1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I love to focus on creative spaces, so when I’m sharing ideas and designs I always have the practical usage in the back of my mind.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

For me, it all boils down to research.  From interviewing the end user for exact usage to get a starting point, to then pulling together a number of style choices.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I’ve not had the privilege of collaborating with her yet, but I love the work that Katie and her team do at Confessions of a Design Geek both on their website, and social networks.  All her awards and the number of publishers she has worked with, shows how well respected she is in her niche – a must read blog for anyone into design and creativity.  Plus they offer a bursary to up and coming designers

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Colour inspires me.  We use bold colours with our furniture and I love to try and compliment these with subtle (and not-so-subtle!) design ideas for offices too.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

A desire to work in both marketing and design has led me here.  I have experienced both individually, but when you can combine your 2 loves then you’re onto a winner.  To get here has taken me 15 years, and my advice is to follow your instincts and make friends with everyone along the way.
