1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Style is a personal expression. As a coach working with clients, it is important for me to understand their style and bring it to life. My intention is usually to make things simple, effective and desirable.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

There is an intake, where I receive any background information and what is important to the client including their goals and timeline. We discuss desired outcomes and collaborate on the process.  After that, I reflect on our discussion and create the plan.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Julie Morgenstern has been an inspiration.  I am lucky that she became one of my teachers, mentor, and colleague. She is so wise, creative and articulate. Another inspiring colleague is Dorothy Breininger, who I met when we collaborated on a project.  Dorothy provided insight on the value of bringing the real you to everything you do.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

What inspires me is the client. Once I understand what the client wants, I can visualize the outcome and create a plan with the best path for getting there.  I love being able to ‘see’ the client already where they want to go.  It’s icing on the cake when it actually happens.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

My work as a professional organizer is a culmination of all of the education and experiences I’ve had in my life’s work. When I was starting out as a professional organizer, I remember trying to be prepared for every client and situation.  I felt nervous when going to a new client. What I learned is that if you are ready and you are focused on the client, the answers will come in the moment.
