1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I like to put the “fun” in functional. My style usually begins with a fresh and clean, transitional foundation and then embodies the heart and personality of eclectic!

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

It starts with the client’s story – what they love and need. Once I have an understanding of that, I go to my local fabric showroom. Playing with texture, pattern and color is where the design takes off!

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

No creative I’ve worked with, or anyone for that matter, do I respect and admire more than my father, Barry Jones. Building our family’s home was his biggest design and engineering feat, and he wanted the whole family to be a part of it. That’s how I initially developed a love for design. Everything he does begins with creative problem solving, which produces functional and original results. The aesthetic develops along the way to solving the problem.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Inspiration usually strikes when I least expect it, so I try to be aware of beauty all around me. Spend time outdoors, travel somewhere new. You can’t fabricate true inspiration.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Passion, positivity, determination, tenacity, hard work, late nights, the grace of God, the love and support of family, friends and clients who believed in me more than I believed in myself at times. My advice: Dispel the myths holding you back! You’ll never feel “ready” to begin. Just begin, and don’t give up!
