1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I am interested in stories, narratives unfolded by textures and materials, things that are multi layered and out of the ordinary, that provoke the mind as much as the sense of touch.  Things that will last and be passed on.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

To me the creative process starts through play, and playing I find things. The play may have some initial parameters given by the kind of commission or those I decide. I do research in parallel to that which helps the decision making process.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I admire many! I have been very fortunate to work with some great designers. Costume designer Phoebe De Gaye  (The Musketeers, BBC) is someone I find very inspirational and Michele Clapton (Game of Thrones, HBO). Their research and their drawings are beautiful, and their vision to coordinate a team in the process of creating characters, their eye for detail is amazing.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I think inspiration comes when you are working, when you give yourself the time to be playful and are relaxed with your materials and tools, in an inspirational work environment. Oh! and swimming, it just gets me in the best state of mind.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Work and remaining positive when the times are difficult, surrounding myself by people I love. My family and friends are very important to me, their support has helped my determination. Be constantly on the move and open to possibilities, projects lead to other projects. Keep good relationships and truly care.
