1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Clean but quirky! I like simple designs that have a quirky nature. Geometric prints get me excited especially when they are unusual patterns. And I love a bit of light industrial.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I am always being inspired by things I see in the world and I take note of them when I see them so I can go back to my inspiration bank and see what jumps out at me for a new project.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I respect people that have a passion and drive for their field. Sometimes it can exasperate me, like when I’m on one side of the camera melting under hot lights and a director is spending 25 mins lining up for one 5 second shot. But I always respect the fact that they want to be the best they can be. I also like it when people push boundaries and try to experiment away from the norm.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Lately I’ve got hooked on colouring. When I was colouring in with my daughter my mind drifted off and I would feel flickers of inspiration would appear. So I’ve invested in some grown up colouring books, when I need some inspiration I sit in nature and colour. It’s very therapeutic!

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Following my gut and following my heart, and learning a great deal from mistakes I’ve made along the way. My advice for other people is don’t listen to what others think before you’ve heard what you think yourself. As clichéd as it sounds trusting your instincts is a powerful process.
