1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I love the mix of classically designed furniture with contemporary colors and prints. I appreciate a space that feels clean, cheerful, personal and unique.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

My mind swirls with creativity. My projects typically start from seeing a color, fabric or piece of furniture that I like. I tend to work with clients better when they tell me how they want the space to “feel” rather than how it should look.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

My sister is a fantastic artist. I respect and admire her because she is very versatile with her artwork and creates solely for her own passions. She doesn’t replicate ideas or focus on trends. She is currently living in Italy and her decor is a beautiful mix of classic Italian and traditional southern charm.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I run. I run to clear my mind and often start my run with a project idea. I will often “save” my idea until I start running and work out the details and steps during my run. When I am finished, I jot down my plan on paper.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Art/Design has been a part of my life since childhood. My advice is to be constantly working on your craft. Focus on what appeals to you and try to avoid replicating. Listen to your client and be open to new ideas. Most importantly, be positive and professional at all times. You never know what opportunity might be around the corner.
