1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Printed fabrics and home accessories with a hint of neon. Hand designed in the UK.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I gather inspiration and put together an ideas board, I select colours and plain fabrics to compliment my palette then start sketching out design ideas.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I collaborate with a lot of creative people from upholsterers to lampshade designers. I respect that they remain true to their principles and offer the best service and products to their customers. Everything they design has had care, time and skill put into it. They produce unique work you can’t get from the high street. I enjoy the spark of creativity I get from collaborating skills and ideas with these people.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I try not to force my creativity. You can’t design or be inspired on demand. Often when you are most removed from work, inspiration will strike, perhaps when you are on holiday and you stumble upon something inspiring.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

A degree in Printed Textile Design at Winchester School of Art led me to specialise in designing fabrics for interiors. I then worked at an Interior Design practice for 5 years in Winchester and gained industry experience, which coupled with my degree, led me to pursue designing fabrics for interiors.
