1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

At present I am fascinated with infinitesimal detail and juxtaposing colors that have a surprising yet appealing effect on each other; this is a style that expands beyond my art works and in to my home.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Choosing the right project is crucial, as they are in process for 2-8 months until completion. I start with immense enthusiasm, collecting the forms, making studies, then start an intuitive process.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I haven't ever worked with anybody else. However I would like to in the future, maybe designing a range of fabrics and wallpapers. I'm interested in extending art into the every day, like William Morris did.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I love to go for long hikes in nature, especially mountains and forests. I also love going to museums like the metropolitan in NY and the V and A in London. Failing being near a museum, I have an extensive collection of art books and catalogues to look at.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I'm not quite sure myself what point I am at…. but so far I am achieving my dream, in that I am still an artist! My advice to any creative would be; it is the quality of each work that is really important, too much proliferation is not necessary. Don't follow fashion, find your true individual take on things.
