1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Aesthetically, I tend to go for contemporary designs that are understated and classy. I find a blank canvas allows you more scope to bring a room to life.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Our recent World Map Range (available here) project saw us work collaboratively to decide what we could create as a team in this creative space that had never before been achieved.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

We recently helped create a set design for Tom Dixon. The set was at a furniture exhibition over in Florence, it was a bit set for Tom and also hugely important for us at Murals that we got everything just right. I admire him as his furniture is phenomenal and is currently flying the flag for what can be achieved for British design worldwide.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

There’s a Picasso quote that says ‘true inspiration does exist but it has to find you hard at work’. With this in mind I believe in research, research, research until divine intervention occurs.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

As most people in the creative industry will tell you, any degree of success is usually brought about by perseverance, luck and trying to come at design from a never before angle. My advice would be to keep plugging away and try to stay unique too.
