1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
My style is eclectic ranging from a few of my favorites. I can never choose one! I am always drawn to danish design, I love the simple and clean lines. Scandinavian will always have my heart. The less clutter the better for me!
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
I always want my work to reflect me and my style. Lately I’ve been picking up projects that’s surrounds me with very traditional styles such as Potterybarn. Sometimes my work sticks out like a soar thumb but as long as I am proud of what I see it’s a go. My creative process is to never back down from my aesthetics no matter the flack I get from the public.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
I worked on a local historic building, the owyhee, that once was a hotel and restaurant but was completely revamped as a modern building with flats, restaurants and more. This building is an amazing work of art and I had the pleasure of working with Laure Joliet! She’s an incredibly talented photographer! I mean, she just GETS it! Her work is stunning and she would definitely be my ‘go-to’ photographer. Not only is her talent beyond impressive she’s just the greatest. She has an awesome attitude and is so down to earth!
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I love clean and simple! Therefore some one of my biggest inspirations come from international bloggers. They never seem to fail me! Also traveling. Getting out of my bubble and seeing what else is out there is always a good idea!
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
Consistency in the social media world is key! Everything we do is surrounded by social media. Whether it be blogging, Instagram, tweeting, Facebook, all of these methods CANNOT be used enough! I’d say if you’re a blogger, be consistent! Let your readers know that you care for them and want to feed them more information. People want to know you as personal as possible so it’s always a good idea to open up and be you. If you read my blog half of the way I write is grammatically incorrect but I want my readers to feel like they’re not just reading my blog but that they are talking to me personally!
