1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I would define my style as simplistic elegance with heart, & sprinkled with fun. I love designing interior spaces and DIY crafts for editorials that evoke feelings of happiness to the resident (clients), readers, or viewers.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I gather info from my clients; what they love, dislike, and why since I want their home to reflect their personality. Do they love to travel, dance, write then I find decorative elements (color, furniture, accessories) that illuminate my clients’ personality.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

When I graduated from design school I became an assistant to high end interior designer Iris Nouwen. I learned perseverance when having to carry a 15,000 lamp and not being able to catch a cab in busy Manhattan; humbleness when dealing with clients, nannies, housekeepers, sales clerks; and a kick-ass attitude of ‘it can get done’ squeezing tons of things within a day; plus treating yourself for a job well done (manicure time!).

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I always get inspired by nature’s beauty, watching clouds, birds, leaves. It connects me to a peacefulness that guides me to creating designs that make long lasting impacts within the heart. So, if you ever see me staring at the clouds, I am probably working on getting inspired, wink!

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Following my passion to bring to economical designs to life that impact people (including myself) at an intimate level (within their homes and heart) has brought me to where I am today. My advice is to be authentic; listen to your heart to find what makes you different from the crowd, and illuminate it to bring you joy and in turn you will bring happiness and smiles to others.
