1) What pieces of furniture have impressed you recently? And Why?

I am a lover of all looks that are timeless. What can be more timeless than nature? I have always been drawn to furniture that calls to nature in some way. I call it “controlled organic”. The mix of clean lines and organic forms, or organic inspired forms, are my favorite. All of these pieces call to that.

2) What colours are on trend right now? And Why?

I am not one to follow trends. I use colors that I love and that are timeless. Some of my favorites are bitter sweet chocolate (but with no red undertone), bois de rose, charcoal grey, arctic white and black. You can never go wrong with any of these.

3) What types of materials are on trend right now? And Why?

Again, I am not one to follow trends…so my timeless looks are grey flannel (think men’s wear), white leather, mohair and silk velvets. All of these fabrics just scream luxuriously comfortable, which is the mantra I live by. They are always “on trend”.

4) Which of your projects embodies the latest design trend? And why?

I am in love with all of my projects, loving the next more than the last. The richness of the spaces lends to their timelessness. In Casa Blanca, you have the bitter sweet chocolate silk velvet sofa, which screams comfort. The bitter sweet is seen again in the side tables and the frames of the chairs. Silverleaf’s man cave has almost all of my favorite trends. From the charcoal grey draperies & wall upholstery, mohair sofa, club chair, & coffee table both in bitter sweet chocolate, and arctic white millwork – how can you not be in love with this space?! Every space is classic in its look and luxurious in its feel…and that never goes out of style.
