1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I always make each project about the client. It’s about elevating their taste and expanding their horizons. My personal style is clean, chic, and eclectic, with a touch of glam for fun and ethnic for interest.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I always start with a clean slate, no preconceived notions. I like to go out with an open mind and be inspired by… who knows what? I love when inspiration comes from the most unexpected places. This makes every project truly unique and exciting.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

My staff! I always have young creative professionals in my firm that keep me on my toes, thinking forward with whatever is current and new. Whether in technology, design, architecture, fashion, or the hippest restaurants, it’s the fresh perspective of up-and-coming professionals that I love.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Go to Paris whenever I can! :) Seriously, I find SO much inspiration when I travel. I take pictures of the most random things that inspire me: shapes, colors, architecture, furniture, clothing, jewelry, art, anything and everything that catches my eye. When I’m looking for inspiration, this is where I go!

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I always say that you don’t get a chance if you don’t take one! Be smart, be confident and trust your instincts. That, and the most important lesson I’ve learned in business, something my father taught me: “You’re only as good as the people you surround yourself with” is how I got to where I am today. Loving what I do doesn’t hurt either!
