1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I would label myself as a classic yet contemporary designer, with a twist. I marry the history of a site with contemporary, chic interiors, and accessories with splash of colour, texture and patterns.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

For any new project I start with a concept. If it’s for a development I imagine who will live there, if it’s for a client I try to understand what truly makes them tick and what atmosphere they wish to evoke in their home.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

My mother, Monique Halloran. Not only is she an exceptional landscape designer, where each garden she designs is completely unique and innovative, but she also magically transforms the interiors of a house to flow seamlessly and in harmony with the outside. The effortless beauty that she creates inspires me as a designer.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Everything inspires me from food to animals to amazing interiors. I often use Instagram and Pinterest when finding the initial concept images for a project, but I also take countless photos of things I see that inspire me daily.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I am very lucky to have had the support of my family when starting Spiering & Co in partnership with my mother in 2012. They have given me wonderful guidance and invaluable experience. I also have to thank KLC Design School for making me a perfectionist entering into this very competitive profession.
