1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I love pieces that tell a story. Things that are a little rough around the edges. My style is based in whites and neutrals with contrasting pops of color. Bright, airy and simple.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

If I have a particular project in mind that I would like to see come to life, I generally sit down with a cup of tea, some good music and make it happen. Usually, the inspiration has already been found. The rest is up to me.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I’ve always found all makers and creators to be the movers and shakers of our world. Those people to me are the most inspiring. The ones who find inspiration, envision something and then set out to make it happen and bring their vision to life. I believe that anyone with the ambition to really want to change the world will do so.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

The ideas usually come to me via nature and adventure. To me, nature is inexplicable beauty, and adventure is the discovery part of life. There is something so powerful and beautiful about finding the stories in various people, places and things.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? What is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

My career is not one you read about in magazines or one that will go down in history books, but it’s one that makes me happy on a daily basis. Running a creative space, writing for myself, photographing the beautiful moments, all these things bring a smile to my face. That’s the best advice I can give. Find what makes you truly happy and work at it.
