1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

One of the first questions most of my clients ask is what they need to buy for the organising process. My answer is always they shouldn’t buy any storage boxes or organising products until we’ve decluttered. Only then I can advice what could be a good purchase to finish the project. Most of the time, we find another solution, saving the client money on things they don’t need.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

When a new client calls me for help I always go out and see them first for a complimentary consultation. It gives me the opportunity to see the house and make a decluttering plan.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I admire my clients the most! It is a huge step to admit you need help decluttering and organising, but then also to take the next step to contact me and make an appointment. Most of my clients tell me this is the hardest part of the whole journey.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

To get inspired I read books, magazines and blogs about decluttering and home organising and I watch you tube videos (of the Clutter Diet for example). I learn something every day in this growing and very interesting industry.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I’ve always been a very organised person, even when I was young and living at home. My background in hospitality also is of importance and being focussed on the client and job, being energetic and patient, and being able to stay calm and listen are essential. If you decide you want to be a PO as well definitely join APDO-UK. It’s wonderful to talk to like-minded people!
