1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

A bit of an oxymoron really. I appreciate ornate things but uncomplicated interior design. My creative style is conservative and reflective with a hint of spontaneity and fun.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Initiating a new project almost always starts with coordinating the ideas of experts and stakeholders. Then I create a short list of clearly defined objectives to research.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

One of my favorite creative people to work with has been Rob Elfer, a partner at the architecture and design firm, Studio Troika. He and his team approach each project with an exceptional amount of energy, creativity and professionalism. They collaborate with the client, engineers and contractors from the very beginning using BIM technology (Building Information Modeling), and they incorporate the highest levels of sustainability. Rob is always one of the first to recognize and adopt the latest technology and product advances, like BIM and PURline botanol flooring.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

One of the things that I do to elicit inspiration is go for a long walk alone. It helps to clear my mind of everything else that is competing for my attention.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I have a passion for learning and trying different things. I think people should always be on the lookout for new ideas and opportunities; they are everywhere and you never know where they will lead you.
