1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I fall head over heels for classic, traditional designs that come alive with accents of bright color whether it be from fabrics, paint, rugs, or artwork.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

When starting a new project I seek color inspiration from fabrics, style direction from my client’s personality, and apply functionality based on how they want to live in the space.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I’ve worked with several people who would surely make this list, but having to pick one I’d say Ray Bergeron of Bergeron, Inc. and Bowens Bergeron handbags. He’s a self-taught artisan who crafts beautiful cabinetry and has also transcended his work into the fashion industry constructing clutches from exotic hardwood.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Strolling through the showrooms of the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) usually gets my creative juices flowing. Much different from thumbing through a magazine, I can feel textures, view forms, and test drive furnishings and casegoods.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Faith and perseverance, without a doubt has brought me thus far. Transitioning from world of accounting and finance to the creative industry has held both celebrations and challenges. All of which has been equal opportunities for learning and growth. My business acumen and client focus has been a key element to what sets me apart from the rest. My advice to others looking to follow my footsteps is to remember that this career is client-focused and service is key to winning repeat business.
