1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I love seeing color used in a home and I enjoy using accessories that feature the colors of the season. Of course, the best colors come from fresh flowers.

2) When starting a new design project, what is your creative process?

I use colors and shapes to create the desired feeling for a space. For example, a bedroom should exude tranquility and an office should inspire work. Experience tells me what to use for achieving this.

3) Out of all the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I really respect and admire my web-site designer Madeline Foster-Prosser. She has very imaginative ideas for laying out my site. She lays it out using many of her own ideas rather than just realizing my original design. In the end, the hybrid design always comes out better. Madeline, like me, is a big believer in the power of color, and I’ve learned a lot from her on how different color combinations can create different moods.

4) Is there a building that you find yourself revisiting repeatedly, because of it’s beautiful and inspiring interiors?

I love visiting churches and cathedrals. The colors from the stained-glass windows, the detailing of the altar, and the majesty of the high arches fill me with a source of wonder.

5) How did you get into interior design? And what is your advice for design students looking to follow in your footsteps?

As I started to decorate my first home, I realized I had a love for home design. Experimenting with different styles and colors was so much fun! At that point, I started paying attention to home-décor magazines and stores. My advice to students is to never let your creativity be hindered by criticism.
