60 minute makeover 15: inspired by nature

Before the team set to work the main bedroom had wishy-washy colours and needed something new to bring a real impact to the room. Using the rich opulent colours of Rosa duvet cover gold and coordinating Genoa tie back chocolate and Ripple cushion chocolate, the room was transformed miraculously into a boutique hotel look room.

With clever use of rich, metallic gold colours and a new four-poster styled bed the team made this room look and feel stylishly sophisticated. With the son having moved away from home his room had not uncommonly become a bit of a dumping ground. However, the team used bright red and white to inject style and purpose into a craft room.

The patterned Salina roller blind black made a real feature of the window and allowed plenty of natural light to enter the room. Once downstairs the team set to work turning the tired looking lounge-dining room into a beautiful space inspired by nature. Using a range of tonal greens, light browns and creams for wallpaper and Ripple cushion lime, Nova cushion white and a chrome Nikola pole to hang the curtains the room took on a whole new dimension and was a far cry from the outdated hand-me-downs- and bland look the room previously displayed.

Using the wonderful colours of nature to inspire makeovers can easily be achieved even for those who aren't adept at colour coordinating or choosing colour schemes which reflect their hobbies and passion for the natural world.
