In this video you’ll see how the team made three rooms into bright modern spaces for a young family using trendy purple, gold and cream colour schemes.
The main bedroom was garish and gaudy with dark ink blue and bright yellow colour combinations which swamped the room. One hour later the team had turned the room from a student den into a sophisticated boudoir. The window dressing consisted of Savvy curtain fabric blackberry, hung from a Romantica 28mm white stained curtain pole and coordinated with 35mm wooden Venetian blinds helped to make the most of the natural light and yet still provide privacy.
Having a blank canvass on which to work their magic in the living room the refreshing new Retro look bought the room bang up to-date. 35mm wooden Venetian blinds teamed with the flooring and furniture while the Retro look was continued by using Orbital duckegg curtain fabric to make full length curtains which were hung using a trendy Romantica 28mm beech stained curtain pole. A final injection of colour was provided by the use of mid blue cushions.
An over crowded and cluttered kitchen was taken away and replaced with funky purple kitchen cupboards. In the dining area aubergine and gold was used to create a cosy, yet stylish, eating area. The windows were dressed with 35mm wooden Venetian blinds and 28mm County wood curtain pole chestnut to coordinate with the flooring and bring a touch of natural warmth to the area.
With the right colour combinations and fresh new window dressings these rooms were created with a young family in mind to maximise available space and natural light.
