Hi, I am Simona (aka Dracualsh—which in Romanian means Little Dracula )and I love sewing.

As a child I loved drawing clothing. I still have a few drawings from  then (the 90’s). I just loved clothes and dreamt of one day knowing how to make them.  I only made a few clothes for my dolls as child.

When I came to UK some time ago, my mother in law gifted me a sewing machine and taught me the basics, after hearing my childhood passion.  Ever since  my first stitch I just love sewing. Like some sewers making your owns clothes comes from  the desire to have unique garments , that you did not pay an arm and a leg for, need to learn new things and keep myself entertained and feel great when a project comes together.

I started my blog— Sewing Adventures in the Attick—as an outlet  for me to keep track of my self-made projects, to  improve my  English and to share my passion for sewing with others. I also love the support and lovely comments my readers leave for me.

I love fabrics and patterns.  every time I end up in a fabric shop—there is one just 10 minutes walk from my house— I cannot help myself from touching the fabrics and grab a few to add to my stash. My  mum even told me that at this rate I will end up opening my own fabric shop. No chance for that, because I cannot let it go. I will all become something I made. One day!!!!
