NATURAL CURTAIN FABRIC

The use of natural fabric as window coverings, pillow slips, and for a whole host of other purposes can literally make or break a room. Natural fabric such as a lightweight cotton or muslin brings with it an airy feeling, or if done in a heavier weave, may offer your room the look of an old fashioned rustic cottage.

Using natural fabric in order to achieve a certain look is a trick that is known to nearly any interior designer. Ticking type natural fabric has long been used to give rustic, almost colonial looks, while a deep plush cotton velvet will afford any room in your home absolute decadence. Natural fabric comes in a wide array of weaves and textures.

You may find it in a durable cotton, a lighter muslin, a very heavy velvet or a very sheer voile. The thinner, more transparent fabric which would be striking on the window treatment of any style of a room, while the heavy velvet weave natural fabric would provide a striking window treatment or curtains for an elegant Victorian room in deep jewel tones.

Cheap natural fabric has the distinction of being one of the fabrics that will quite literally go with any type setting or colour scheme.
