1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I’m a minimalist, loving a calm, meditative palette… but with just enough luxury finishes in natural materials to give shine & sophistication. White & grey marbles, brass, distressed wood. Blush pink; nude and delicate greens are my faves for accent colours.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I start the process with the client’s taste, lifestyle and the architecture of the building. Then I create a Pinterest board of inspirational interiors from designers, architects and stylists to present to the client.  Then we can start to feel and visualize what the home will look like.  This allows me to narrow the search to a specific colour palette and style.  I’ll usually focus on new trends if that’s appropriate, but I’m careful to make these paired back so the look is timeless.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Charles Khoo, an architect I’ve worked alongside on a few projects inspires me. I love it that he hand draws rather than using CAD. He’s an artist and model maker also… his home is filled with the most interesting collection of art and is spatially a masterpiece.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Inspiration comes from living in the moment. London is a visual riot of creative genius… Luxury hotel design always gets me going, The Rosewood, Holborn and The Bulgari in Knightsbridge. Restaurants and spaces by the Soho House group nail it design wise. British cool, paired back and comfortable.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

My early career wasn’t creative, as I studied law and worked in pharmaceuticals. A friend was studying Interior Design. This woke me up to what I’m passionate about.  After I studied a short course I worked as an intern and a property developer friend let me loose on an apartment of his.
